Comparison of Main Characters in The Tell-tale Heart and The Yellow Wallpaper Essay Sample

In “The Tell-tale Heart,” the main character is mad and knows it, but in “The Yellow Wallpaper,” the main character is slowly descending into madness and does not realize it. In “The Tell-tale Heart,” the main character kills the old man because he thinks the eye is evil, while in “The Yellow Wallpaper,” the main character starts to think that the woman creeping behind the wallpaper is trying to get her. In “The Tell-tale Heart,” the main character is proud of his actions and in “The Yellow Wallpaper,” the main character is ashamed of hers.
