The essay “The Great Depression and The New Deal” by John W. Aldridge is a comprehensive and well-written overview of the events leading up to and following the Great Depression, as well as the New Deal legislation introduced by Franklin D. Roosevelt in an effort to ameliorate the economic conditions.
Aldridge does an excellent job of explaining the complex economic factors that led to the Depression, and he provides clear and concise summaries of the various New Deal programs. However, the essay is somewhat dated, and it does not reflect more recent scholarship on the topic.
Overall, this is an excellent introduction to the topic of the Great Depression and the New Deal.
Overall, the essay does a good job of discussing the importance of language in advertising. However, I feel that it could be further strengthened by providing more concrete examples. Additionally, the essay could be more concise, and could use less academic jargon.
The Causes, Effects, and Solutions of School Violence is an article written by Dwyer, K., Osher, D., & Warger, C. The article discusses the early warning signs of school violence and the imminent warning signs. The early warning signs are not a checklist against which to measure individual children and should only be used for identification and referral purposes. The imminent warning signs are a sequence of overt, serious, hostile behaviors or threats that indicate that the child is very close to behaving in a way that is potentially dangerous to himself or herself or others. The article also discusses the action that should be taken when the warning signs indicate that danger is imminent.
The author provides a good overview of the history of Japanese art leading up to the 1333, with a focus on the impact of the introduction of Buddhism on the development of art in the country. The essay is well-researched, and the author’s writing is clear and concise. One minor criticism is that the author could provide a little more information on some of the specific art forms mentioned (e.g., Yamato-e, Emakimono, etc.), but this is a minor point overall. This is a good essay that provides a concise and informative overview of the history of Japanese art.
According to Mashla (2016), values are what we believe about what is right and wrong and what is most important in life, and that which controls our behavior. My personal value system is one that is built strongly on Christian principles. I am a person who believes in the golden rules and loving my neighbors as I love myself. I believe in living an upright life and abiding by the laws that govern us. I am also a Utilitarian because I believe in the greater good for the greatest number. I am person who likes to be open and frank. I prefer to be shattered by the ugly truth than to be graced with a beautiful lie.
Counseling according to Sheppard (2016) is the facilitation with clients
Overall, I found the essay to be informative in regards to the negative effects of postpartum depression on both the mother and the infant. I also found it helpful when outlining what different interventions can be put into place to improve the symptoms of this disorder. I think it is important for nurses to be familiar with all of the information provided in the essay so that they can provide the best possible care for their patient.
This essay is a great example of how to discuss overcoming adversity. The writer has faced many challenges, but has persevered and achieved great success. The essay is well-written and organized, and provides excellent examples of the writer’s achievements. The only critique would be that the essay could be more specific about the writer’s goals and objectives for obtaining an MBA.
This essay is a well-written argument in support of abortion. The author makes a strong case that women should have the right to choose what is right for their bodies, and that the new Laws signed by Brian Kemp aiming to sentence women to years in prison for having an abortion should be removed. The essay provides a number of reasons why women should have the right to choose abortion, including that many women face difficult circumstances such as being sexually assaulted or having a high-risk pregnancy. The author also provides a number of examples to illustrate the point that women should be allowed to make their own decisions about their bodies without judgement from others. However, the essay does not mention the argument that some people make that abortion is murder, and that it is
I found Carr’s argument compelling and well-supported. He makes a strong case that the internet is changing the way we think and process information. His point about how we are no longer reading in the same way is particularly convincing. I also appreciated his discussion of how technology has changed the way we perceive time. It was interesting to read about Taylor’s work in the early 20th century and to see the parallels with how we use technology today. Overall, I thought Carr did a great job of highlighting the ways in which technology is changing the way we live and think.
