Overall, I found this essay to be a very interesting read. I liked how it explored the relationship between architecture and colonialism, and how modernism emerged as a response to global changes. I found it interesting that there is so much controversy surrounding modernism, and that some people believe that it should be more heavily influenced by indigenous architecture.
